LGBTQ+
Shared Skies. Shared Recovery. Shared Truth.
Welcoming community where LGBTQ+ pilot and aviation professionals find understanding, recovery, and belonging — no matter where in the world their journey takes them.
At Birds of a Feather, we believe no pilot should fly alone when navigating recovery. Our LGBTQ+ community within BOAF offers a welcoming, confidential space for aviation professionals seeking sobriety and connection with others who understand the unique pressures of life in the skies. Here, fellowship is built on honesty, respect, and shared experience. Whether you’re a professional pilot, cabin crew member, air traffic controller, or aviation enthusiast, you’ll find support from people who truly get it. Recovery is stronger together — and in this flock, you never have to fly alone.

Share your Story
Sharing your recovery story as an aviator carries a special weight and purpose. In a profession built on precision, responsibility, and quiet strength, speaking honestly about sobriety helps break the isolation many pilots feel. When you share your experience, you show others that recovery and a successful aviation career can coexist — that seeking help is not weakness, but wisdom. Your story may be the reassurance another pilot needs to believe they can land safely in both their career and their recovery.
