 Boeing Mesa Helicopter Plant Tour

Friday June 4th 2027

At the only combat aviation museum in Phoenix, you’ll take an educational venture through history and learn how aircraft evolved as a vital partner to ground and sea operations from WWI to present. Get up close and personal with history. Our knowledgeable docents are at your service to answer any questions or lead a tour through our collection of artifacts and exhibits.

Walk through our maintenance hangar and watch aircraft mechanics maintain our flying aircraft. Climb aboard our bombers and cargo planes or, better yet, book a once-in- a-lifetime flight in an authentic warbird. Choose among six WWII aircraft, from an open biplane to the rarest bombers in the world. And don’t forget to stop by our museum gift store and bring home a bomber jacket. We’re a non-profit organization and staffed 99.9% by dedicated volunteers who honor our mission.

Time Table:

1230 – Depart Tempe Mission Palms

1700 – Arrive Back at Tempe Mission Palms

Extend Your Stay: Pre & Post Convention Adventures

Coming to Arizona for the convention is also a great excuse to stay an extra day or two. From aviation history and Cold War landmarks to underground caverns, red-rock country, professional baseball, and one of the natural wonders of the world, there is plenty to explore beyond the Phoenix area.

  • Pima Air & Space Museum

For an aviation crowd, this one may be worth the drive to Tucson. The Pima Air & Space Museum features approximately 400 historic aircraft spread across six hangars and 80 acres, with aircraft representing generations of aviation history.

  • Kartchner Caverns State Park

Head underground and experience one of Arizona’s natural treasures. Kartchner Caverns offers guided cave tours featuring remarkable formations preserved within a living cave system.

  • Grand Canyon National Park

No Arizona trip list would be complete without the Grand Canyon. Stretching for 278 miles along the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon offers unforgettable views and is an incredible addition to a longer Arizona stay.

  • Sedona

Known for its dramatic red-rock scenery, Sedona is a wonderful destination for hiking, sightseeing, dining, shopping, or simply slowing down and enjoying the landscape. It makes an easy choice for turning the convention trip into a longer Arizona getaway.

  • Meteor Crater

Take a trip back through geological and space history at Meteor Crater, one of the world’s best-preserved meteorite impact sites. Visitors can explore the crater, guided experiences, and exhibits focused on its history and science.

  • Titan Missile Museum

Located south of Tucson, the Titan Missile Museum preserves the only remaining Titan II missile site open to the public. Visitors can experience an authentic Cold War-era missile complex and learn about the history of the Titan II program.

  • Arizona Diamondbacks

Baseball fans may want to add a Diamondbacks game to their stay. Check the D-backs schedule to see whether the team will be playing at Chase Field during your time in Phoenix.
